A casita is a small home in your backyard. People build them for parents, guests, a home office or rental space. For a Phoenix casita, we talk through sleeping space, bathroom layout, storage and outdoor space alongside how you'll use it.

Phoenix allows up to two ADUs on a lot with one single family home. Each one can be up to 75% of the main home's size, capped at 1,000 square feet on lots up to 10,000 square feet and 3,000 square feet on bigger lots. Your zoning district and your HOA can add their own limits, so we check both.

We help plan the rooms, building systems and finishes around how you'll use the space. Choices about a kitchen, who lives there and any rental use come first, so the build plan starts on a clear direction.

You work with one team through design, permits, construction and the final walkthrough. Your lot and scope set the budget. A price per square foot can't answer that, so we walk your lot and give you a real number.

Questions

A few things to work through before you build.

How big can a casita be in Phoenix?

Up to 75% of your main home's size. The cap is 1,000 square feet on lots up to 10,000 square feet and 3,000 square feet on bigger lots.

What affects the cost of a casita in Phoenix?

Size, finishes, site access, utility work and your lot all matter. We walk your lot and give you a real number before anything is signed.

How long will the project take?

Design decisions, permit review, site preparation, and construction each affect the schedule. We discuss the expected sequence after reviewing the property and scope, rather than promise a move-in date before that work is done.
